In our society we do a lot, we want to do a lot, we even like to add things on the top of our already full To-do-list. Why are we constantly overloading ourselves with so many things to do? And then we get so exhausted that we have to take a break and feeling very bad about it.
We would like to introduce the terms of Under-Doing, Over-Doing and to show you a different perspective of Non-Doing.
“If you want to grow a plant. At first, you have to water it, that is the doing process. What follows is the non-doing activity, waiting till the plant grows. At this moment you do not do anything until the condition of the plant is fulfilled. If you would step into a phase of Over-Doing you would do actual harm to the plant.”
In this instance is quite clear that doing nothing means growing.
We would like to invite you for a unique retreat in Fuerteventura in an outstanding Villa Azul Retreat Centre.
The title of this event states it all. “TIME OFF”.
The concept based on being on a retreat and workshop at the same time. Meaning, a place you can rest and in addition, you will learn and gain a basic knowledge from Yoga.

Our accommodation is only twelve minutes drive from the epic sand dunes rolling down into the turquoise ocean and the breathtaking white-sand beaches. With amazing volcanic scenery and incredible vistas of the Atlantic Ocean and Lanzarote, this is the perfect respite from the busy day to day grind. Villa Azul is also conveniently located for those wishing to get out and explore the island. There are walking paths and a bus stop close by.

Villa Azul have a peaceful and very homey atmosphere, themed rooms from around the world and lots of comfy chill-out areas. You can relax with a book in the garden, have a dip in the pool, chat with your fellow guests in the lounge or sit and enjoy the view to the sea from the balcony terrace. If you are here in season you will taste some of the delicious fruits and vegetables grown right here in the colorful Buddha garden.
A magnificent bonus to your 'Healthy Holiday', is there is so much space to unwind, relax and be at 'Peace' with your 'Self ' with its endless white sandy beaches and on most of them you can find enough space to enjoy them on your own along with 'Mother Nature'. Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you really love.
Every morning we will do the same yoga sequence as well as pranayama exercises, which will slowly inculcate in your memory. From performing the same Asanas (Yoga poses) and gaining their theoretical, practical knowledge you will gradually begin noticing its physical, emotional as well as mental benefits.
At midday, we are going to do Body Awareness Exercises. We will set you playful on a journey activating your senses, creativity, and joy. Some exercises will be in pairs, some individually oriented, some group directed.
TIn the evening we are going to dive into the Yin Yoga. In Yin Yoga you are going to experience, how letting go and devotion to gravity, space and time can make big changes within you. You will understand that; how you practice is just as important as what you do in your practice.
Yin Yoga addresses the deeper layers of tissues of our ligaments, joints and deep fascial network. To reach this deeper layers in your body, we are going to hold the postures for 3 up to 8 min. But don’t worry the posture are made for melting into them..
Yin Yoga is a deeply relaxing, meditative and peaceful method. It is going to stimulate all your senses, opens up tightness, and blocked energy is going to fade away. You are going to feel uplifted and you will experience your own flow of energy.
“We do not use the body to get into a pose, we use the pose to get into the body.”Before going to bed, to conclude the day, we all gather after dinner. We are going to meet for an evening program of meditation, bodywork, and massage. It will be our time together to reflect, to share, and to calm down from the day.

Just 70 miles off the coast of Morocco, we are proud to bring you the Moroccan experience. With a plush 5-star style ambience, complete with stunning views to the coast, you will feel like you’ve had a taste of the exotic.
The suite has an open-plan bedroom, a small single bedroom, an outdoor roof terrace, a kitchenette and a large en-suite bathroom. This room is perfect for couples, a family of three, or two friends travelling together.
Santa Fe Room
This experience is themed after the artistic mountain town of Santa Fe, New Mexico, a town with beautiful energy much like Fuerteventura. Santa Fe is a wellbeing haven, and you will feel that the moment you step in the door. Decorated with the south-western charm that makes so many feel at home there. With views to the coast this large, light space is a lovely place to spend your holidays with us. .
There is a large comfortable double bed, allowing the room to sleep one or two.
The sacred temples, beauty and mystery of Bali provide the perfect setting for a wellbeing journey. The beauty of the land and the kindness of the people provide inspiration for this bright and comfortable space. You can rest, reflect, meditate and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of the villa. Main level, with a garden view. Shared bath. There are two single beds, which can be made up as a double in this lovely space.
The good hospitality and great vibes of the American west coast provide the theme for this cosy option. A private space with a shared bath, its a nice option for those on a budget. There is a window in the California Room which opens into the hallway in front of the yoga shala. The hallway opens up directly to the outside so there is a fresh air breeze coming in. There are no windows in the room facing directly outside. The room is on our base level, which keeps it cool in temperature in the warmer months.
Little India Apartment
Travelling to exotic India may be a bit much for just a week, but stay with us and complete your yogic experience by surrounding yourself with the sights and colours of this beautiful land.
This bright apartment has a bedroom, en-suite, lounge with sofa and dining table, kitchenette and garden terrace. The beds can be made up as a double or as two single beds (both options are shown in the gallery below), so the room is perfect for solo travellers, couples and friends travelling together.
The Canary Islands have a unique charm, which you can discover by travelling a little off the beaten path. From volcanoes and lunar landscapes to sub-tropical forests and deserted beaches, the islands are a place to restore yourself with nature. This spacious apartment has two private bedrooms, with a lounge and a pool terrace and garden. Suitable for four guests, this is a great way to meet other like-minded people or for groups travelling together. Please note that due to the shared nature of this accommodation option, the rooms in the apartment can only be booked by female guests.
Tents used in the Sahara desert are beautiful works of art and surprisingly cosy! Come experience them for yourself with our glamping experience. We have one lovely traditional Sahara tent joined by a chill out lounge: a double bed There is a common Moroccan style chill out area for you between the tents for you to enjoy. The tent have power and lights, and access to an indoor bathroom in the main villa and an outdoor kitchen, you are never far from the luxuries of home. The large Moroccan tent will become a lovely space for chill out and meditations, which you also have access to.
